Embellished Frames
I finally got started on making some Christmas presents. I’ve had some wood frames in my craft room forever. I picked out some scrapbook paper I wanted to use and painted the frames in a color to match. I applied the scrapbook paper to the front of the frame with a glue stick. After it dried, I sanded the excess paper off, around the outside and inside of the frame. Then it was time to embellish the frames. I went through my stash of crafting supplies to find fun embellishments. Here’s what I came up with. And the best part is, I didn’t buy anything new.
Metal memories plaque with rhinestones on each corner.
Metal family plaque with green ribbon rose.
Lace trim with hanging charms and antique buttons.
Butterfly ribbon with metal tradition plaque.
I really like the way they turned out, especially the ribbon rose. I’m getting better at those. Maybe some day I’ll try them with fabric.
