Sometimes I have decorators block. It doesn’t usually happen around holidays though because I already have a theme. This St. Patrick’s day was a different story. I had no idea where to start so I gathered all the green bottles I could find and called it good. I decided a Simple St. Patricks Day mantel was the way to go this year but I did end up adding a few more things to the bottles a couple days later. Sometimes simple is just so much easier and I ended up loving it.
Sometimes I have no idea where my brain is. This wreath was suppose to be a St. Patrick’s Day wreath and say Lucky on the banner. I started working on it and the banner somehow ended up saying Spring. I think I had in the back of my head how close St. Patrick’s Day was and felt like I was cutting it too close so my brain switched it to Spring. Oh well, I’m going with it. I ended up with a Polka Dot Spring Wreath which could easily be changed to a St. Patrick’s Day wreath by changing the letters on the banner, so if you want it to say Lucky feel free to do it right the first time. I could’ve changed it but by that time I was just ready to move on. It still has the green polka dot fabric so I’m happy!
Fruit tastes great on it’s own. It doesn’t really need anything to make it sweeter or taste better, but that’s not really the reason for fruit dip. It’s really just an excuse to eat a delicious dip with a piece of fruit instead of your fingers. I guess you could eat it with a spoon but it’s much more civilized with a piece of fruit. I don’t make this Marshmallow Cream Fruit Dip often but it’s fast and easy and perfect for a party or special treat.
I love having a large craft stash. If I’m low on cash and feel like crafting I do a little shopping in my room. I’ve had these tiny glass bottles for a few years but never knew what to do with them. I bought them at a scrap booking clearance sale for about .10 cents each. It was such a great deal that I knew I would come up with something eventually. I still have a few of them and have a few more creative ideas but right now let’s make some darling Pot ‘o Gold pendants for St. Patrick’s Day.

I can’t really call this a tutorial. It’s more like I have this cute idea I want to share with you. It’s hard to call something a tutorial when it only has 2 steps and takes less than a minute to make. I love these colorful felt balls and these felt ball flowers are even better. So let’s make some, okay?
Travel season is almost here. Before you know it Spring Break will be upon us, then shortly after that Summer Vacation. I like to plan ahead so I’m going to share with you my 10 Travel Essentials you need before your next trip out-of-town. These items have made my weekend trips and long vacations much easier and more comfortable.
Remember when I told you a couple weeks ago that I was going to start using my craft stash? Here’s another project from the stash. I found this little balsa wood container thingy a while ago at Hobby Lobby. I had no idea what I was going to do with it but thought it could turn into something fun. Emilee got new glasses so I thought it would be a perfect case for her to keep them safe in, but they didn’t fit. My glasses fit in it though so I gave her my case and decided to turn it into a Graphic Painted Eyeglass Case for me.
Finding and sharing ways to save money are some of my favorite things to do. Why spend more on something when it isn’t necessary? There are a few make-up items I will spend some big bucks on (I am getting older after all) but the majority of my make-up purchases are from big box stores. I was happy to discover that I could purchase the majority of my favorite everyday make-up products from Dollar General and save even more money.
Are you decorating a mantel or shelf for Valentine’s day? I pulled together this Valentine’s Day mantel using items from other rooms and a few decorations left over from Christmas. I find satisfaction in shopping my house and being able to pull together a holiday themed mantel for no cost, proving you can spend little or no money making your home beautiful.

Are you still decorating for Valentine’s Day? I am usually decorating up until the holiday. I love adding little things here and there.
