Tissue Paper Tassels

I just love banners! They make any party, holiday, or special occasion even more special. I’ve been wanting to make some tissue paper tassels for so long, but I haven’t had a good excuse. I have something coming up soon, so I finally had a reason to make some. I don’t know if I make them like other crafters but this is what I came up with. They’re simple to make and I guarantee you’ll become hooked.

Gluten Free Blackberry Magic Bars

Do you love chewy coconut, graham crackers, and fruit? How about a gooey treat? Then these Gluten Free Blackberry Magic Bars are perfect for you. They are sometimes called Hello Dolly bars or 7 Layer bars, but I have always called them Magic Bars. These were easy to make gluten free, but I make them when we have dinner guests or I can take them to someone so I don’t eat too many. I’m sure it’s not good to eat the whole pan.

I love Spring! There’s a sense of renewal and a promise of things to come. It’s like the world is waking up from a deep sleep. It’s a time to open the windows and let the fresh air in. I also love decorating with bright colors this time of year, so it was time I took my plain wood eggs and perked them up a bit. I’m sharing 2 Beautiful Ways to Decorate Wood Eggs for Easter.

Easter Bunny Mantel

I’m sharing my Easter Bunny Mantel but I’m also going to get a little personal. I don’t know if you’re like me but when my life gets complicated, I need to simplify in other areas. I like to decorate my home and I like to be surrounded by pretty things but I also need to feel like I can breathe in my space. When we moved to this house I got rid of about 1/3 of my possessions, but this house is smaller so I’ve continued to get rid of things every month. I enjoy decorating for all the holidays but if I don’t really love something I’m going to have to let it go. I’m tired of having things just to have things. That doesn’t mean I still don’t have plenty of things to decorate with, it just means I will need to be more creative and move things around more (because I also like to change my decor often).

Candy Box Easter Basket

We don’t spend a lot of money on Easter presents but we have always given the kids a small basket or gift. As they’ve gotten older it’s been harder to not spend more money than usual. I like to give hubby a little gift too so this Candy Box Easter Basket is perfect for hubby and the kids.

Gluten Free Funfetti Cookies

The name of these cookies should be Gluten Free Funfetti Box Cake Chewy Crinkle Cookies but that was way to long so I decided on Gluten Free Funfetti Cookies. I tried making a few versions of these cookies but I finally came up with the perfect one. They’re gluten free but you would never know it by how soft and chewy they are.

Decorating with Gold

Last year near St. Patrick’s Day I wrote a post about decorating with green and it’s also my favorite color so that was really fun. This year I thought it would be a good idea to write about Decorating with Gold. It’s become so popular in the last couple years and it’s an easy color to add to your existing decor. You only need a little gold to add interest and sophistication to any room. I’m going to show you some of my favorite pieces I found and then I’m going to offer you an alternative so continue to the bottom of the post for a great idea.
