I love using natural pieces in decorating when possible. The best part is that it’s free or at least really inexpensive, and you have to admit there isn’t anything more beautiful than nature. This Natural Christmas Wreath is another perfect project for a woodland or traditional Christmas theme. The wreath will last between 3-6 weeks depending on your climate, so plan for that when deciding to make it.
I have 2 resin wood look votive candle holders that I bought several years ago. It’s one of those few times I wish I would have purchased more. After years of wanting more, I thought why not make something similar. These Wood Wrapped Candles are super simple but give me the wood look I was hoping for. They will fit in perfectly with my Woodland Christmas theme this year. You can wrap your candles in any scrapbook paper to fit your theme.
Things in miniature are just so cute. Don’t you agree? These mini Cork Pine Trees can be used in so many fun ways for Christmas. Place them in a village, in a glass jar or on a tray with fake snow, add deer to the scene, or simply display them on an old window. You could make a whole mini forest and display them throughout Winter.
I like to change our Christmas theme and colors a little every year. This year I will be going with traditional red and green colors and a woodland theme. We will be having family in our home this year and I think the little kids will enjoy a more kid friendly Christmas. I’m already planning gold, silver, sparkle, and a more elegant Christmas for next year. Let’s get back to this year and this JOY Sign I’ve been wanting to make since last year. Decide on your Christmas colors so your sign will reflect your theme.
I love decorating every room of my house for Christmas. The bathroom even gets a few holiday things added to it. This Christmas Hand Soap idea is a quick and simple idea that the kids are going to love. What better way to get them to wash their hands this Winter than by adding fun trinkets to the soap.
Welcome to my 31 Days of Christmas Ideas. I’m excited to be participating in the 31 days challenge again this year. If you haven’t heard of this challenge, you commit to writing everyday for 31 days on a certain topic. My topics have varied over the years but I decided on sharing Christmas ideas this year. I love Christmas but the costs associated with it can get out of hand. I know a lot of you like crafting and decorating as much as I do, but don’t like spending a lot of money so I’ll be sharing some awesome Christmas crafts, decorations, recipes, and printables with you. I hope you’ll enjoy the series and follow along to create your favorite projects.
It’s Fall which means it’s glitter season at my house. Be expected to find glitter in almost every corner from now until Valentine’s day. Seriously, I love the sparkle of glitter! I also love natural elements, especially in the Fall, but adding glitter gives everything a bit of sophistication and glamour. I love making and displaying garlands and this Falling Glitter Leaves Garland was super easy to make and looks great displayed over my mirror.
Hi Friends! Welcome to my Fall Home Tour 2016. I love Fall and decorating for Fall is an added bonus. My decorating style is much like my organizing style: simple, minimal, and use what I already have. I love the colors of Fall! Although I’m not a huge fan of orange I love adding splashes of it here and there, especially since it’s hubby’s favorite color.
If I had to pick only one food to eat for the rest of my life this would probably be it. My Favorite Roasted Vegetables are healthy and full of flavor. And it isn’t unusual for my family to eat the whole tray of veggies in one meal. Apparently they like them too. I always hope for leftovers but it only happens every once in a while.
I don’t usually have a problem keeping everyone’s schedule straight and as the kids living at home dwindles, it’s getting even easier. The problem is the kids and hubby sometimes have no idea what’s going on. I’ve tried other ways to help my family keep things organized but they were all too complicated so they would just ask me the schedule anyway. This Weekly Dry Erase Board is simple, to the point, and decorative. It hangs by the garage door (where we go in and out of the house) so it can’t be missed.
