I know storage space can be hard to come by so I’m sharing some of the spaces I’ve organized in my family room to give us more storage. I’m sharing how I organize and manage DVD storage and more. I hope you’ll be able to implement some of these ideas in your own home.
Last month I started a new decluttering challenge. At the beginning of every month there will be suggested things for you to declutter from your home. The best thing about this challenge is that we’re all working together for the end goal of ridding the clutter out of our lives. Since school is starting soon decluttering in August is going to be another easy challenge. If you miss any of the challenges you can always go back and do them at any time. I’ll have them linked at the bottom of the post. Now it’s time to declutter!
We squeezed in a lot of fun this weekend but the most fun was Ammon’s Pirate birthday party. He had been asking for and planning this pirate party since his last birthday. Do your kids do that? As soon as their birthday is over they start thinking about the next party. I think it’s because they have so much fun and don’t want the excitement to end.
When the kids were little I used to plan some pretty incredible and inexpensive parties. At least the kids thought they were incredible and that’s all that really matters. Ammon wanted a Pirate party when he was 5 so I used these maps as the invitations.
Do you have a hard time finding craft projects that your boys want to make then play with? Well, look no further than a cub scout book. There are some great and super simple ideas your boys (and girls) will love. They’re fun to make and fun to play with. Even though my kids are getting older they still enjoy making a lot of the crafts and projects in the scout book. If you don’t have access to one I’m going to share the Cub Scout Catapult with you.
I love free printables! Whether you want to decorate your home or have some fun, I have an awesome selection of Summer Printables to fit whatever you’re looking for.
I’ve often talked about how decluttering doesn’t have to be hard, yet it is still overwhelming to a lot of people. I decided that if I broke it down into smaller segments it might be more manageable so I’m starting a month by month declutter challenge. Don’t worry, it will be super simple and quick. If you think it will be overwhelming for you my first advice would be to get a friend or family member to be accountable to. Work on your decluttering list together. We’ll start out small with our decluttering in July since family vacations and school breaks can make it a little harder to find the time. Are you ready?
This USA Glitter Banner is perfect for Summer holidays and parties. It’s easy to create but makes a huge impression thanks to the glitter scrapbook paper and clothespins.
I love the 4th of July/Independence Day. It’s my absolute favorite holiday! I feel such a sense of country and patriotism and love spending the day with my family. We always have a fun filled day and try to fill it with as much celebrating as possible. There’s always something going on but I thought it would be nice to add a little more fun to the day. Kids love scavenger hunts and marking things off so I thought a 4th of July Scavenger Hunt would be fun.
