Sometimes the simplest decorations are the best. This Noel Christmas porch was created using the decorations we had left over after decorating the rest of the house. Let me take you on a tour of my little front porch. I hope you’ll get some inspiration.
I have so many great memories surrounding Christmas. Most of them are from the traditions we celebrate year after year. As the kids grew older I was worried some of these traditions would die, but I have been pleasantly surprised that my kids have wanted to continue the traditions as much as my husband and I have. Gingerbread House Decorating is a tradition we have had for as long as I can remember. It started with hubby and I doing most of the work then to the kids taking over and doing most of it themselves.

Who’s loving all the progress you’re making decluttering? At the beginning of every month I post suggested items for you to declutter from your home. The best thing about this challenge is that we’re all working together for the end goal of ridding the clutter out of our lives. If you miss any of the challenges you can always go back and do them at any time. I’ll have them linked at the bottom of this post. Now it’s time to declutter!
What is it with Sundays and how everyone wants a dessert or after church treat? Sometimes I have a lot of options on hand, sometimes very little. Luckily I always seem to be able to come up with something to please my family’s sweet tooth. Since we had a lot of apples on hand I decided this Toffee Apple Dip would be the perfect dessert. Even though it’s very sweet, by adding the apples I feel like I’m at least giving them a little bit of nutrition. Really, there’s nothing wrong with just having something sweet every once in a while.
Real trees are beautiful but there are always some adjustments that need to be made to them to fit in your house or even the stand. Remember on Christmas Vacation when they cut their own tree, tie it up on the roof of their car, then bring it home and it’s almost the size of the room? Well, it’s not usually that bad but there are always a few places where the tree needs to be trimmed. I hate seeing all those beautiful boughs go to waste so I created this Simple Pine Bough Arrangement for our bedroom this year.

Black and white Halloween Tea Light Holders make a great centerpiece or table decoration.
This Chalkboard and Burlap Thankful Frame is not only fun to make but it’s also a great place to share what you’re thankful for throughout the month of November. The painted banner is my favorite part.
I haven’t posted a recipe in a while so I thought it was about time. I always say I’ve never been much of a pumpkin girl but that’s not really true. I love pumpkin in the right context. For instance, I don’t like pumpkin drinks or savory pumpkin but if it’s sweet I’m all in. Also I hate wasting anything, especially food and I had a can of pumpkin in my pantry that was about to expire. My guess is that you probably have most of the ingredients for these Gluten Free Pumpkin Muffins on hand so give them a try this week.
