I love having succulents in my home, but for some reason if they’re in my bedroom I forget to take care of them. I have a little desk area where I spend a lot of the day on the computer and wanted something beautiful to look at without having to remember to take care of it. Look for the best varieties in the late Winter and early Spring. The best thing about organizing with baskets is that you can take them with you when you move and use them again at your new place. They are also easy to move from room to room if your needs change.
Living in a rental means I have a lot of restrictions on making permanent changes to the home. Painting a whole room was a big no but I was given permission to paint a small area in the family room. Let’s talk about Organizing the Trunk or back of your car, van or SUV for Summer. My goal is to have things ready and organized for playing at the park, impromptu picnics, day hikes, last minute shopping or anything else that might pop up on a nice Summer day. I like to use these totes for organizing the trunk because they’re really inexpensive and sturdy plus they’re easy to clean. They run about $6 each and are easy to find at stores like Target or WalMart. I have 3 of them I keep in the back of the van. They fit almost perfectly across the back.
