My inspiration for these mirrors came from a set of mirrors I saw in the Parade of Homes 2 years ago. I have no idea where that picture is, but I can tell you what they looked like. They had silhouettes of flowers and birds on them and I kept thinking about how I might be able to make my own. Well, as soon as I started cutting vinyl with the Cricut, I knew how easy it was going to be.
These are the mirrors hanging in my bedroom. They’re really just used for decoration. I love the frames and the chains they’re hanging from.
I used the Home Decor cartridge to make the flowers, butterflies and dragon flies. I love this cartridge because of how many different images are included.
Now that it’s cut out, it’s time to place it on the mirror. I don’t use the transfer paper if I’m going to place it directly on the surface. I just peel off a little of the backing at a time, while I’m sticking it on the surface.
They’re not exactly like the ones I saw a couple years ago, but I like how they turned out.
This was all one piece so it was really easy.
And here they are all together.
It’s such an easy peasy project and if I get tired of it I can just peel it off.
this is a great idea!!!
i have some extra vinyl that i have around. and of course it helps that a BFF has one of those circut machines!
happy weekend!
