Valentine’s Day Mantel

My mantel is finally decorated for Valentine’s Day.

I chose blue, white and red to decorate with this year.

And I didn’t want to spend any money so I used things I already had around the house.

I love this shadow box I bought a while ago.

Changing things up is so much fun.

I attached scrabble tiles to decorative cardstock using glue dots.

Then I attached chip board letters and a button to another piece of cardstock to spell love.

The picture of hubby’s and my initials was taken in San Diego after he traced them in the sand.

So Sweet!

I used simple paper heart doilies, glitter clothespins and bakers twine to make the garland.

I love the fun colors and the vintage feel.

It’s so different from my last years mantel.

Here’s one more look just for fun.

Are you ready for Valentine’s Day or are you a little behind like me?

did you make the heart feather topiary? it is so cute. is it a boa hot glued to a foam heart form or is there something special you did. Love it and feel inspired.

I love this! I have seen a gazillion mantels this season and this is by far my favorite! There is something sooo cozy about it. Not too froo-froo. I don’t normally decorate for valentines day but I would consider doing something like this…
