15 Uses for Command Hooks
Towels and hand towels – Since Command hooks come in different finishes it’s easy to fit them into your home decor. We opted to not get towel bars in our new home so we could use hooks to make our bathroom space function best for us. There is no space for a towel bar close to our shower which means the towels would have been across the room. Not convenient at all. Same for our hand towels next to our sinks.
Dish cloth – Hanging the dish cloth on the inside of the sink cabinet makes it convenient and gives it a place to dry out of sight.
Shower brush – I know a lot of people hang their shower poofs and brushes from the shower controls or nozzle. I feel that just gets in the way so a hook is a great option to keep it handy but out of the way. Command makes bath products specifically for use in the shower.
Bag storage – There are many ways to store extra grocery bags but this is the system I’m currently using. The mesh bags are from IKEA. These are conveniently hung in my pantry next to the door.
Cleaning tools – How many times do the cleaning tools stacked in the corner fall over? Hang the tools close by so they’re convenient to locate and easy to keep organized.
Hanging wreath – My favorite way to hang a wreath is to put a Command hook upside down on the back of the door. Loop the ribbon around the hook and let the wreath hang on the front of the door.
Aprons – Keep aprons handy and easily accessible by hanging them from a hook in the pantry or close by on the wall. If you have nice aprons this is a great way to display them in the kitchen. The hooks come in different designs and finishes to meet your design needs.
Ties – Before we hung the ties we donated the ones that hadn’t been worn in quite a while. Just a reminder that it’s important to take time to declutter before you organize a space. You can use one hook for each tie or hang several on one hook.
Scoops – Hang a hook on the outside of the flour and sugar containers for the measuring cups or scoops. No more searching through the drawer for the scoop you need.
Cords – I don’t like cords showing for aesthetic reasons but also safety reasons. If you have kids or need to vacuum it’s just much easier to already have cords up and out of the way. There are special cord hooks or you can just use a small hook. I use whatever I have available.
Hats – Keep your hats in shape and easy to retrieve by hanging them on hooks. It’s a fun way to display them in kids rooms too.
Necklaces – Before we moved into our house I was planning ways to organize the spaces in our bathroom and closet area. Hanging my necklaces inside this cabinet keeps them safe and convenient when I’m getting ready.
Holiday decorations – The best thing about Command hooks is that they can even be used for temporary solutions such as displaying holiday decorations. I use them every year to hang Christmas stockings and other seasonal and holiday decorations.
Banners – If you like to change things up in your home using Command hooks are a great option. Since they’re removeable they’re easy to take down and relocate if wanted. They’re great for temporary things such as party decorations too.
Garbage can – If you line your small garbage cans with a grocery bag this is a great tip for you. Stick a hook upside down of the outside of the garbage can to keep the bag in place. This will also work on large garbage cans if needed.
