Ring Holder Frame

Welcome to day 8 of 31 Days of 15 Minute Craft Projects.

Today we’re going to make a Ring Holder Frame so you have a place to put your ring if you need to take it off. I don’t take my ring off very often but when I do I’m always worried that it’s going to get knocked off the counter or I’m going to forget where I put it. You can place the ring holder in the kitchen or the bath room or make a couple so you can have them in both rooms.

Ring Holder Frame so you can keep your ring safe and always remember where you put it

Supplies needed:

Small frame (Michael’s)
Batting
Burlap or fabric
Hot glue gun
Exacto knife
Chip board or thin cardboard
Decorative pin

Ring Holder Frame supplies.1

The frame is only $1, maybe $1.50 so instead of a piece of glass it comes with a piece of plastic glued to the frame. Use an exacto knife and cut the plastic off.

Ring Holder Frame.10

Trace the back of the frame onto the piece of cardboard. The thickness of the cardboard is the same as a cereal box so you can use a box out of your pantry if you need too.

Ring Holder Frame.9

Cut it out then use it as pattern for the burlap or fabric. Cut the fabric about 1/2 inch bigger than the cardboard all the way around.

Ring Holder Frame.8

Cut the batting the same size or slightly smaller than the cardboard.

Ring Holder Frame.7

Layer the cardboard, batting, and fabric. Wrap the fabric around the batting and cardboard and hot glue into place on the back of the cardboard. Cut small slits in the fabric to help it lay flat on the back.

Ring Holder Frame.6

Place it in the frame and close the back of the frame to secure it into place.

Ring Holder Frame.5

The pin was a little long for the frame so I used a wire cutter to cut it in half.

Ring Holder Frame.4

Stick the pin through the fabric and batting. I used a tiny bit of glue on the end, to hold it in place.

Ring Holder Frame.3

Hang your ring while you’re doing the dishes or washing your hands and you don’t have to worry about losing it. Plus this little frame looks pretty cute next to the sink or on the side table.

What a great idea Leanne! I think I’d put one in the kitchen because one of the few times I take my rings off is when I’m baking something that requires hand kneading/mixing or when I’m deep cleaning with gloves (my rings sometimes get stuck in the gloves). I’m always afraid the rings will fall somewhere and get lost but this would give them a temporary “home”.

I really love this idea but not because I take off my ring to wash dishes, but because I haven’t wore my ring in about 5 years since the band broke. It’s stored in my jewelry box, never to be seen. This way I would get to see it everyday maybe hang it over my night stand along with the other photos I already have there. Connie
