Sunday– Sunday is our movie watching day. We eat a quick lunch after church then put in a movie. About half the time I grab a blanket and fall asleep. The kids and hubby have been into series lately. Since we hadn’t watched “Back to the Future” in forever, it was time.
Monday– I love the 4th of July! It was a perfect day. Parade, carnival, food, flags, swimming, nap, more food, fireworks, nice weather, family. Who could ask for more?
Tuesday– The books in my bedside table right now. What are you reading?
Wednesday– The kids and I packed a picnic lunch and headed to the park. Leftovers from the 4th. It was so yummy! After eating the kids played on the playground. This is my kids favorite park around, mostly because of all the older more unusual toys. They call it the “caterpillar” park because of the huge caterpillar .
Thursday– The orthodontist had his annual swim party at Roy Aquatic Center tonight. The kids love this pool, especially the 2 slides. There’s a free dinner with stands for shaved ice, cotton candy, donuts, popcorn, and balloons after. There’s also a live band, but I’m always too busy talking to even really notice it. Amanda got a banana and pina colada shaved ice and gave me the rest of it so she could go get some cotton candy.
Friday– Whitney gave me a gift card for my birthday for a pedicure and I finally used it. I thought I’d try a different color this time. I’m still not sure about it, but I think it’s fun for Summer. My feet feel wonderful. She gave the best foot massage I’ve ever had.
Saturday– The kids and I went through some more homes included in the Parade of Homes. Hubby stayed home and worked on getting our RV’s down to just one. We saw about 7 more homes and stopped for treats and water at a gas station. I’ll have a Parade of Homes post later this week.
We’re off for our Staycation/Vacation today. We’re calling it our Utah Temple Tour. I’ll still try to post everyday, but it might be a little random. Have a wonderful week!
Hi there! I just wanted to say that I read your blog everyday and I always look forward to your “Peek Through Last Week” posts. It looks like you have a nice family that gets along real well. I noticed that no one ever leaves a comment on these posts so I thought I’d let you how appreciated they are!
Thanks Karin, that is so sweet of you! Have a great week!
