Peek Through Last Week (February 2-5)

The boys are going off-track for a couple weeks, so they had their Valentine’s Day party this week. I made mustaches out of foam and attached them to the suckers for the kids to give as Valentines. If you want to see more about the mustaches, go here.

For Chinese New Year we had Chinese food for dinner and ate with chop sticks.

I also made chocolate dipped fortune cookies and rice crackers. The kids devoured them.

Ammon’s pretty good with chop sticks. He even has his own special pair that his Chinese teacher gave to him.

On Friday, the 1st grade Chinese classes had a party celebrating the new year. They watched a video and learned the zodiac.

Played games.

Painted Chinese characters.

And sang songs.

These are all the things Ammon made at the party.

Amanda attended her first high school dance on Saturday.

Her group (4 couples) had dinner at our house. The table cloth is just a piece of fabric. I bought the china 32 years ago when I was in high school.

I still haven’t painted the wall in the dining area so I lined it with balloons. Hubby blew them all up for me. Thanks honey (sometimes he reads this).

Here’s the whole area.

Once the kids arrived, I became the server. Hubby took the boys to dinner so they would stay out of the way.

Amanda and Isaiah.

The whole group: Jordan, Bailie, Jade, Marley, Amanda, Isaiah, Sarah, Ryan.

It was a busy, fun week. How was your week and weekend?
