Sunday– All the boys need to be creative is a paper sack and some tape. Zach made his hat with secret compartments for snacks and small toys. He added a mask too. Ammon’s hat has a place to store his small army men.
Monday– Valentine’s Day! I woke up to flowers, a huge heart balloon, and a card on my nightstand. Hubby is so sweet. I bought him a hook to hang his guitar and some picks. The girls got a necklace and the boys got a small toy. I made spaghetti for dinner, since that’s the one food all the kids like. I made chocolate dipped strawberries and chocolate mousse pie for dessert. It was a perfect Valentine’s Day.
Tuesday– Another trip to the orthodontist for Emilee. They added bands to her molars this time and tightened her wires quite a bit. She only has to wear her elastics at night right now (to hold everything in place).
Wednesday– I love getting gifts in the mail. Traci from Beneath My Heart sent me this beautiful necklace from the Vintage Pearl. I’ve worn it everyday since.
Thursday– The beginning of the week was warm with temperatures in the high 50’s. Then we woke up to snow this morning. The boys were fine with it. They spent 3 hours outside making snow forts today. Then came in ready for hot cocoa with marshmallows.
Friday– Since Adam joined the National Guard he keeps his hair really short and has taken up shaving it himself. The only problem is, he can’t get the back. That’s where I come in. If you know anything about me, you know that I have an issue with cutting hair. I have never cut my kids hair. This has been a huge step for me, but I’m getting pretty good at it.
Saturday– Hubby and I went on our weekly date. He wanted to go to Olive Garden since he got some good news on the work front. He can work 40 hours now. What a blessing! Still no benefits or technically employed (instead of contract), but it’s going in the right direction. Our usual dinner drinks, water with lemon and cherry cola. Hubby put the cherry on top of the lemon wedge.
I love your ‘Peek Through Last Week’ posts! It’s a terrific way to document life! Angie xo
