Sunday- I’ve been doing pretty good with not eating too much junk. I mostly buy treats for the kids I don’t like, so I won’t be tempted. But for some reason I really needed chocolate today. And since it was Sunday I couldn’t go to the store and grab a candy bar or something. So, I did the next best thing. I made no-bake cookies. I don’t make them very often, but every time I do it reminds me how much I love them. It’s probably a good thing I don’t make them often. I even shared them with the rest of my family. I’m such a generous person.
Monday– My tulips are finally blooming. Mine usually bloom about a month after the houses across the street. It seems so late in the season, but we have a North facing house and the weather here is never predictable until the middle of May. It’s not too bad having them bloom later. I’m enjoying my tulips weeks after others have already died. I really need to plant more this year. I dug some of them up accidently last year.
Tuesday- Hubby’s been waiting for this day. The day he can start training the younger boys to take over mowing the lawn. I’m not sure it’s going to happen this year though. Zach was having a hard time getting the mower to even turn. I can tell Hubby’s happy though. He’s seeing an end to him having to mow the lawn for the next 12 years or so.
Wednesday-Actually a lot happened to do and I was so busy I couldn’t think. Maddux Tyler Ulrich was born at 2:30am. My 5thgrandson. We are so thrilled. I had a meeting in the morning. Tons of phone calls and tying up loose ends for the Teacher Appreciation Week at the Jr. High. Amanda had dance line try-outs. Young Women’s was that evening and Adam was finally coming home from Basic Training and AIT. I was going to take a picture of Adam walking toward us at the Airport, but when I got there all I could think about was hugging him. Did I have the camera with me? Of course I did. I never go more that 15 feet away from it. Did I think to use it? No, but I did get a great hug. So what did I take a picture of today? My new phone. What? I don’t even want to know what that says about me. Old phone on left, new phone on right.
Thursday-The kids went back on track yesterday. It’s always an adjustment for everyone. We don’t get them to bed on time the first few days and they have a hard time getting up on time the next morning. Ammon’s always the hardest. I woke him up and he came in my room and laid back down for a few minutes. I almost didn’t want to wake him up again, he was so cute.
Friday-I left home about 7:30 last night and got to Cedar City at almost midnight. I’m so excited to spend time with my new little grandson. Maddux was born on Wednesday at 2:30am. Whitney and baby are doing really well. And can I say, he is the cutest little thing ever! Hubby said he looked like a potato when he was first born. Okay, maybe he did a little, but not now. He is so cute, cuddly, sweet and such a good baby. He weighed 7 lbs. 6 ozs. and was 19 inches long. A little shorty! It’s been so fun spending time with him and Whitney and Ty.
Saturday- Not only does Whitney and her family live in Cedar City, but so does Chris and his family. In fact, they only live one street away from each other. They will be having a daughter in a few weeks. My first granddaughter. Parker, the soon to be big brother, is a very active 3 year old and so stinkin’ fun. It’s very entertaining to watch him play basketball on his bed. Oh yay, oh yay, oh yay, oh yay, oh yay, shoot! So funny!
Leanne, thanks for stopping by my blog and giving me your opinion- I really appreciate it! I’ll let you know how it goes; and your cookies look yummy!
