Peek Through Last Week (April 11-18)

Sunday– The weather was finally nice enough to use the barbecue. I don’t order hamburgers out, but I love a good one from the grill every now and then. Hubby makes great burgers with Worcestershire sauce mixed in. Make mine a cheeseburger, please. Yum!

Monday– Zach and Ammon got eggs for Easter that hatch into something when you put them in water. You don’t know what it will be until it starts hatching. Ammon’s duck hatched last week and Zach decided to hatch his this week. It’s a turtle!

Tuesday– The kids are still Off-track from school and have been begging to go to Chuck E. Cheeses for a week. Not because they love the pizza (2 of them don’t even like pizza) but because they want to play the games. Hubby took his lunch at the same time and came with us. The kids had a great time. It was cool and rainy outside so it was a perfect day to be playing inside.  Ammon and Zach.

Wednesday– Ammon lost another tooth today. He had just eaten breakfast and I had sent him to brush his teeth. Just a few seconds later he was yelling that his tooth had come out. No blood was in sight, which was good but his tooth was lost too. At first I thought it had gone down the sink drain. Not good! But we finally found it on the floor, against the cabinet. I guess his new nickname can be “toothless”.

Thursday– Tax Day and more importantly, Emilee’s Birthday! We went to the park for a picnic, shopping for a swimsuit and new summer clothes, had her favorite spaghetti dinner, and then of course had cake and ice cream.

Friday– It seems we can never celebrate a birthday for just one day. Whitney and Ty were coming up from Cedar this weekend so they were able to celebrate with us. It took Emilee forever to decide which restaurant she wanted to go too, but she finally decided on Mimi’s. And then, of course,  we couldn’t pass up the dessert. Chocolate Chip Brownie with Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce. And the younger kids also got a dirt cup.

Saturday– Today was a busy day. The usual soccer game in the morning, a picnic with Hubby’s family in the afternoon and another baby shower for Whitney with Ty’s family in the evening. I also had registering for soccer for next season, making a salad for the picnic and wrapping the baby shower present between all the other activities. I didn’t get any yard work done, to say the least, but I did get some nice needed sunshine. It was heavenly. Whitney and Amanda.

I’m a day late, but it’s done now. Thanks for visiting!

I have never seen one of those hatching eggs – how cool! Sounds like you all had a busy, but fun, week.

I love the idea of a weekly recap. I just might have to “steal” your idea for my own blog! =)
