We stopped in Idaho Falls to eat dinner on the way up to Jackson Hole. As we were trying to find the freeway entrance we came across this:
Amanda had been watching a movie and happened to look up just as we passed him. His name is now “What the Big Indian Head”. On our way back home we had to stop so Amanda could get her picture taken with him. It shows how big he really is:
Beautiful scenery:
Part of the antler arches at the park in Jackson Hole:
Mural of Jackson Hole:
View from our hotel room over to the Elk Refuge: We were really excited because we thought we might be able to see some elk. Silly us! Apparently the elk don’t come down from the mountains until late fall.
This was actually the only animal we saw and it wasn’t even real: Pretty though.
The best part of our room: Love the ceiling, the rest of the room was at least clean.
Amanda named this, “What the big hairy butt”. I probably shouldn’t let her keep calling him that but it was pretty funny. He was at the Arts Festival that I didn’t take pictures of (except for his backside). He’s 12 feet tall and actually must be a really nice monster because he’s holding a flower with outstretched arms. If I had $12,000. I might have bought him just for the fun of it.
Beautiful old barn:
I’m glad we have our annual trip to Jackson Hole for the Scottish Festival. It’s beautiful!
Those are gorgeous photos! I’ve never been west at all. Just straight up the East coast to NY. Maybe one day!
And thanks for the compliments on my embroidery hoops! I really appreciate it!
