After the dance competition we wanted to go on the Alpine Slide at Snow King Resort, but it was way too cold. I’m starting to wonder if it’s ever warm in Jackson. We drove up there anyway just to see if we could survive going up the lift with just our jackets on and the wind blowing constantly. We decided against it when we got there and it started sprinkling on top of it being chilly.
Then we saw the bungee trampolines and the kids went crazy. Can we? Please? Please? Please? Sure why not, as long as your dad and I don’t have to do it. I didn’t want to, because they have to weigh you to figure out how many and what size of bungees to use. I wasn’t in the mood to be humiliated in front of my family and strangers. We decided the youngest should go first, because we didn’t want him watching the other kids and then chickening out (and we had already paid for him).
Ammon getting strapped in:
Ready to go:
Woo-Hoo: He actually did have fun. Especially after we kept yelling up at him, “Isn’t this fun”, “You look like Superman”, “Woo-Hoo”. He yelled down at us after a while that he wanted to be Captain Underpants not Superman. Then I knew he was okay.
Zach getting ready to go:
He was having a great time moving his feet around everywhere and making faces, but he wouldn’t do any flips:
Emilee getting strapped in:
Emilee did not want to do this. She wanted to go on the Alpine Slide and we had to talk her into this. In most of the pictures you can tell she’s not happy:
Amanda getting strapped in: She wanted the other guy (because he was cuter).
Yay, she’s flipping! She kept flipping over and over again. It was pretty funny.
Close-ups:
I promise she’s not crying in this picture. No child was harmed during this activity.
This is pretty much how Emilee looked the rest of the day:
Here’s a close-up incase you couldn’t tell how much she’s skuzzing me (or just life in general). Not even shopping got her out of this mood. I keep reminding myself she’s 11. Happy kid, happy kid, happy kid, Emilee.
Believe it or not we all had a great time. We went to the Jackson Hole Arts Festival the next day, but didn’t get any pictures. I was having camera issues. Best Arts Festival we have ever been too. Even the kids loved it, oh except Emilee, she didn’t want to go. Are you surprised?
Have a beautiful weekend!
