When you go to the Parade of Homes in St. George you know there’s going to be pools in most of the outdoor areas. If I lived in St. George it would be a safe bet I’d have a pool. There were some incredible outdoor areas with and without pools. Here’s some of the outdoor areas I fell in love with.
I love this outdoor living room. Picture above the fireplace and all.
Adjacent to the outdoor living room is the pool, of course. Not a big pool, but I wouldn’t complain. It was almost a courtyard, being surrounded by the house on 2 sides and the garage on another.
This is the exterior of the home. It’s not a typical St. George style which is why I like it so much. Plus I love a big welcoming porch.
There’s going to be a lot of pools in this post. It is St. George after all. I liked how this one blended into the surrounding area. There are actually 3 areas to this pool, a kiddie area, the main pool and the jacuzzi area at the top. Do you see the fire pit in the back? It’s a gas burning tree trunk and it was very warm over there.
There’s an outdoor shower and restroom adjacent to this pool. Sorry about the picture, it’s really bad.
This is a very family friendly home with a lot for the kids to do and the pool reflects that. To the left of the picture is how you exit the home to the pool area. It’s like walking through a cave, pretty cool. I love the waterfall and the slide.
Here’s the rest of the pool area and the jacuzzi. The best part about this pool area is there’s a fence and gate that can be pulled out and locked to block it from the rest of the yard. Very kid-friendly.
This is the same home with a fire pit on the deck. Very convenient and I hope safe.
This is still the same home. It had a lot going on, on the outside. I love the arbor with swings and hubby couldn’t wait to get down and see the putting green.
Amanda Lou and Amanda Moo on one of the swings.
I told you Hubby was excited to see the green. He didn’t even care he didn’t have any clubs. He’d move to St. George in a minute.
Oh, and look, they set us out some refreshments. I really could have stayed at this house, but on to the next.
A random water feature. I don’t even remember where it was, but there were a lot of water features this year. I think the sound of running water is so relaxing.
I like the shape of this pool and how the jacuzzi is being featured in the center of the pool.
Another view of the same pool. And how about the view from the pool.
This home decided to forgo the pool and build a splash area. I love these for little kids, even big ones. Sometimes it’s just fun to go out and get wet. It’s pretty too.
This is a “green” home. It had a pretty cool design, but my favorite part of it is the inner courtyard. The house basically surrounds it. These are the stairs going up to the roof area. The boys liked these.
Here we are on the roof and Hubby pointing out the solar panels. He’s really into those kind of things. No, he’s not just talking to someone random, that’s my son-in-law.
Here’s the view of the some of the courtyard from the roof.
I could live in this house just for the views. Is that breathtaking or what? This is the view from the living room. The buyers of this home are from the Northeast and fell in love with the landscape in St. George. They wanted their home to be as open to the surrounding views as possible. I think they achieved that. Most of the windows in the home are like this.
One of the side outdoor areas.
This is the walkway leading to that area. I’m in love.
And one of the exterior showers of the home. There were a few.
This is an area right outside the office/craft room.
And here is the amazing pool that seems to blend right into the surrounding area. When you’re standing next to the house you can hardly see the pool because it blends in so well with the mountains and rocks around it. I really was ready to jump in for a swim. I talked to the owner and he was so pleased with how the home turned out, because they were living back East at the time it was being built.
There were a lot of fountains as water features too. Here’s one in an entry courtyard.
And another water feature. I’m going to have to try to make a small water feature in my yard this Spring. Apparently I really like them.
Look at this entry. This was our last house on the tour and it didn’t disappoint.
The pool area with the jacuzzi. Isn’t it beautiful at night? There’s a firepit to the left of the pool.
Another waterfall into the pool. And what a view.
We had to stop and take this. We were only a few yards from the Arizona border. So here are the kids standing in Utah and Arizona. From front to back: Ammon, Zach (being blocked by the pole), Amanda Moo, Amanda Lou, Whitney, Ty and Emilee.
I’m still not done with the Parade of Homes. If you can believe that. I still have to show you my favorite home. Not really in terms of the home, but in terms of decorating.
I’m off to Canada tonight on the red-eye (don’t ask why I’m taking that flight, it was a mistake). Hopefully I’ll be awake enough tomorrow to write a post. I can’t wait to see my new grandson and his older brothers. I’m going up to help balance the genders in their home. I hate flying by myself. I know hate is a strong word, but I mean it in this case.
Have a beautiful day!
Good luck! Have a safe flight and enjoy your grandbabies!! 🙂
oooohhhhh – love your post. Especially viewing the pools. Have a safe & wonderful trip!
Lovely! I’m looking forward to moving soon so that I have an outdoor area to enjoy. My apartment is definitely lacking.
