I always find one house in the Parade of Homes I could pack my bags and just move right into. I don’t particularly love the outside of this house, but I love the inside. Mostly the decorating.
I love water features, even if it’s just a fountain. This is in the entry courtyard.
I love the textures, colors and ease of the living room. The sofa color is beautiful. The picture doesn’t do it justice. I love the wood floors too.
The windows are gorgeous. I love the table, lamp and cream pillow too. This home just felt peaceful as soon as I walked in the door.
It’s a little hard to tell the wall color from the picture, but I’m in love. Surprise, surprise! It’s a grayish brown or a brownish gray. I got the color from the decorator, it’s Kwal Howell Shinto. I finally found the color I want to paint my bedroom. Now to find the time to paint it.
The kitchen cabinets are gorgeous and look perfect against the wall color. I love the glass front cabinets and the subway tile backsplash.
Here’s a closer look at the tile over the stove.
I love everything about this island. The counter, sink, faucet and shape.
How cute is this display?
Ohh, I want this desk and the chair behind it. Don’t you love the desk?
Two of these chairs were in the office and you know how I love chairs. I love the pillow too. Oh yeah, I grounded myself from pillows.
And the lamp on the desk is beautiful.
Does this chair look familiar? Hubby got me one just like it for my birthday.
I love the detail on the cabinet in the half bath and the mirror is so pretty.
I just wanted to jump into this bed with my favorite magazine.
And these chairs would be beautiful in any room.
Loving these mirrors.
These would be so easy to make with scrapbook paper or wallpaper. They’re hanging is the master bathroom.
I want to figure out a way to make this or I could always go buy one. The decorator said she bought it at Pier 1 Imports.
This chandelier is hanging in the master bath room. Do you see that beautiful wallpaper in the background?
How about you. Have you ever gone through a house and thought you could just pack your bags and move in? I’m hoping to use some of these decorating and design ideas in my own home. I’m almost done with reviewing the Parade of Homes. I’m sure that’s a relief to every 4 of you who read this.
Pretty much every day I feel that way. I work in gorgeous homes most of the time….. I love it!
I am in love with this house too! It mixes the old world style (which I love) and a modern contempery style (which my hubby loves). It may be quite a battle but I’m ready to pack my bags too!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog- I’m glad you enjoyed the book cover art! I’ve really enjoyed looking through your blog. Unfortunately, our Parade of Homes (Raleigh area) was about half the size it normally is since so many builders are having such difficulty. I’m glad that I got to see a little more beautiful design through your tour! Thanks for sharing!
