Sunday- Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year. We spent the weekend in Cedar City and St. George spending time with family and visiting the Parade of Homes. What a fun weekend! On the menu for Sunday: Chinese Stir-fry, rice, chocolate covered strawberries and chocolate covered fortune cookies at Whitney and Ty’s. Then we went to Chris and Emily’s to watch some shows and Emily made us pineapple upside down cake. Yummy and I think I gained 5 pounds this weekend.
Monday- We head home today from Southern Utah. I love the scenery down there. The mountains are beautiful. I have a hard time leaving that area and that it was 20 degrees warmer there doesn’t help. The kids will be coming up for Spring Break so we’ll be seeing them again in just a few weeks.
Tuesday- Emilee and Zach have been taking Scottish Dance lessons for a couple years now. Every Tuesday we go down to Salt Lake City to their cousin Nikki for their lessons. Emilee has competed 2 years and Zach 1. Emilee will compete as a Novice and Zach a Beginner this year. Competing season starts again in the Spring. I think the first competition is in Las Vegas. Yay, warm weather.
Wednesday- Ammon had a field trip to the Treehouse Museum today. I went along as a parent helper. He had such a great time. He was the Big Bad Wolf in a play, dressed up in a fighter pilot costume and played on a chess board he could walk on, but I think his favorite part of the day was the bus ride. He’s never ridden on a bus before and he talked about it for days after. Look at that cute face.
Thursday- I play Bunco once a month with a great group of friends. I love my Bunco group. They’re an awesome group of ladies. It’s very casual and low key and a great time. I have got to be the unluckiest person in the world though. I haven’t had a Buncofor 14 months. Yes, 14 months, but my luck changed today. I didn’t win for the night, but at least I got to yell Bunco. And I mean yell! When I get a Bunco I get excited. Look at this card, it was my last chance for the night. I hope I don’t have to wait another 14 months for the next one.
Friday- The kids have early out every Friday. In the winter that’s not much of a plus. This is what the kids usually do when they get home and it’s too cold to go out and play. They play Wii . Zach got a new game for his birthday.
Saturday- I’ve been moving things around in the unfinished basement in hopes of starting on the guest room. We’ve been taking things out of that area to store them somewhere else. I started moving the pillows and then realized how many I actually have. These are just the pillows that aren’t being used right now. I have now officially grounded myself from buying anymore pillows for at least 6 months. I’m not quite sure about making them. I might have to break the rule for that one.
I love your pillow collection!! I have started one myself now! Thanks to your suggestions! 🙂
