If she can hide a light switch by framing it then I can hide my thermostat, right?
I found this frame in my stash. I love how detailed it is and thought painting it black would bring out the details even more. I bought it at about a year ago at a yard sale for .50 cents.
I took the back off using a craft knife. Then spray painted it using the oil rubbed bronze paint I got in my stocking for Christmas.
And hung it up framing my thermostat. Okay, I guess it’s not really hiding the thermostat, but it looks a lot prettier.
It looked kind of lonely on the wall so I decided to make a mini gallery wall using pictures of my kids I already had framed. The frames were already black so I didn’t even have to paint any of them.
I love these pictures of my 4 younger kids. They have been in my bedroom for years, but I don’t think I was appreciating them much there. I just wasn’t noticing them anymore.
They needed to be in a new place. I love them on the little wall right outside my bedroom.
Hubby really likes it too. What do you think?
Love that Leanne!! I saw that at Kimba’s too. She is a genius! 🙂
They have that idea on Pinterest floating around, too! But, that one has a little door over it to cover up garage opener or alarm. I like how you’ve done that – very clever 🙂

Love it – very clever!
That’s awesome! I’ve seen similar ideas but I really like how you used similarly sized frames and the b&w photos. It really helps hide the thermostat but it’s still readily accessible. Love it! TFS
What an awesome idea!!!
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this idea! I am definitely going to do this in our new home.
Great idea!

What a great idea! I have frames all around my thermostat but never thought to give it a frame of it’s own. It’s fabulous! Thanks for sharing over at Weekend Warrior. 🙂

Love this idea! We have the same thing at our place and I have been thinking of what to do with it.
