Since Valentine’s Day is fast approaching I thought it was about time I shared my mantel. I used soft colors this year, mostly yellow, pink, and light blue.
I started by writing something sweet on the chalkboard for my family, to remind them how much they are loved.
I’ve had this rusty heart for years and love the pretty scroll design. You can see how I used it last year here.
The mantel was based around this Bee Mine chalkboard art printable. You can see how I made it here and get a free printable for yourself.
To add color and texture to the candle I wrapped some bakers twine around it and added a sweet little heart charm. You could stamp an initial or word on the heart to make it even more special.
The framed 14 is a printable from a few years ago. You could do the same thing using your printer or cutting machine.
I added a large glass vase and some white flowers to the hearth. Can you guess the best part of the mantel? That’s right, I didn’t spend a penny. I just used things I already had around the house. I love decorating for the holidays but I also like saving money.
Have a Beautiful Weekend!
I’m your avid fan from the world down under. I love everything about your blog. I’m so honored too that you are sharing one of my boards in Pinterest, “Inspiration/Style for the Home. You really inspire me, thank you
I think your valentine mantel is adorable. Im going to try it. Thanks for your beautiful inspiration! I also noticed your white slipcover on your couch. Did you make it or purchase it? I am in need of a slip for my couch too, but the store that I bought my couch wants around $1000 for it. Yikes!
I love the candle. Target has some red and white twine ribbon for $1. Super cute.
