I guess I’m sticking with the black and white Halloween theme everywhere this year, even on the front porch. If it didn’t start out as black or white, it was painted. This is the area to the side of the front door. I don’t want it to be too scary for young trick-or-treaters.
My newly painted black and mod podged pumpkin sits next to a friendly Frankenstein.
The spider web is just rope painted black. A glittery spider is never too scary.
I used the plant stand to hold the tombstones. It can sometimes get windy on my front porch and the tombstones are just foam. I painted some old foam pumpkins and goards black to use as fillers in the plant stand to help hold the tombstones in place. The black roses are sticking out of a lantern filled with pebbles.
The bats are hung from the plant hooks on the side post.
And I painted more old pumpkins black and stuck them in the plant baskets on the railing along with some real pumpkins.
The table got decorated too. My favorite part is the glittery bat in the cage.
I placed lanterns and candles in 7 different places on the porch. And used battery powered tea lights to light them at night. I added a pop of orange to the porch by using the wreath on the table.
The front porch is almost complete. We just need to get our pumpkins tomorrow. I won’t be painting them black though. I need to be able to use them for Thanksgiving. I didn’t have to purchase anything to decorate the front porch except for the little pumpkins.
Have a Wonderful Weekend!
LOVE the bat in the cage and the bats dangling from the plant holders! Awesome! 🙂
I love bats! Your hanging bats from last are so fun, and that bat in a cage? Lovely! Thanks for linking up to Topsy Turvy Tuesday!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything but Frankie is my FAVORITE, how did you create him and/or where did you buy him? I’m having a terrible time trying to find one! Thanks!
