We finally made it to the pumpkin patch. This has been a busy week, but things slowed down a little and everyone’s healthy now so we were able to go to Black Island Farms and enjoy time together as a family. Our first stop was the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch where we all picked our favorite pumpkin to bring home. This is one of the many patches they have.
My rule is “you have to be able to carry the pumpkin you pick”.
We took the pumpkins back to the car and headed for the play area. There were lots of things for the kids to do in this area. One of them was the Grain Shoot. Ammon couldn’t get enough of this slide. He would make yells and noises all the way down the slide and you could hear him all the way at the bottom. He had everyone around us laughing.
Then we were off to the corn maze. It was a little mudding in places, but not too bad. Amanda had a weird shoe choice for the corn maze, but she’s a teenager so I let it go. Can you pick her’s out?
Hubby got a map because we have issues with getting lost and we didn’t want to be in the maze all night. There was a Twilight theme. We went through Jacob and never made it over to Edward. Amanda’s a Jacob fan anyway.
This one melts my heart. Not posed, they were holding hands and singing songs through the whole maze. Awwww!
Out of the maze and into the fog. They have a haunted corn maze at night and it was about to start. We were trying to leave before it got too spooky for Ammon and we were hungry. I think we were in the maze for 45 minutes. We had a great time being together and being silly.
Hi Leanne,
This looks like a super fun outing!! We have a place like near our house and it’s we always have a great time there.
I was wondering if you would mind if I featured your “Batty Lampshade” on my blog on my “Brag Monday” post? I would love to show the one, where you can see the bats the most, the one next to the little boo pumpkin. Do you by chance have a photo that’s a little larger?
Thanks!
Karen
