It was time to change the decor on the shelf in the Entry. I’m going to call it a Mantel though, because it fits my purpose for being able to join the Nester’s Mantel Party today. It kind of looks like a mantel. Don’t you think?
My house is North facing so I try to keep things pretty light in this area.
I took some of these from the fireplace mantel.
And these from the kitchen area. Do you remember the twine wrapped vases I made last Summer?
It was looking just the way I wanted it too, except I wanted to bring in a touch of bright color. I found these pretty orangery-red tulips in my flower stash and thought they would be just the right pop of color.
I love how it turned out. Hmmm, I wonder if I have any other mantel type shelves that need a decor make-over. And the best part? It was all free!
