Here’s my Thanksgiving banner for this year. Better late than never, right? I love the idea behind this one. I’ll share it with you later in the post.
It was so simple to make and it only cost me .32 cents. I had everything on hand except for the library card sleeves and they were only .4 cents each. I purchased them at Utah Idaho School Supply.
I cut the scrapbook paper to fit the front of the sleeves, then adhered them with a glue stick.
Then I used rub-on letters to spell out THANKFUL. Just a little side note: I buy a lot of my scrapbook supplies at Tuesday Morning, Big Lots, and Savers. So a lot of times I’m saving 90% on these items.
I cut a small piece of ribbon for each sleeve.
Then attached it to the sleeve with a small brad.
Everyday for the last 8 days leading up to Thanksgiving we take turns writing down what we’re thankful for on the card. Then we slip the card into the sleeve. We will be reading them on Thanksgiving. I love reading what my kids write.
I hung the cards by slipping the ribbon loops over the rick rack.
And attaching it to the windows with thumb tacks.
I love this banner and that we are able to record what we’re thankful for leading up to Thanksgiving.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me.
