I saw some awesome jars on Martha Stewart a while ago and wanted to recreate them for Easter this year. It’s a simple project but I love the impact it has.
I started with some random jars and a couple old candle stands. I used a spaghetti sauce, pickle, and jelly jar to make mine.
Then I went through my spray paint stash in search of some pastel colors and a silver color for the bases. I sprayed them with a few light coats of spray paint then punched a hole in the largest lid.
I used an extra kitchen knob and attached it to the lid. I love the detail it adds to the jar. Any knob would work, this is just the one I had on hand.
I think they look pretty awesome without anything in them.
But they’re going to look even better with lots of pretty Easter candy.
I added a white chocolate bunny, some edible grass, and a few Reese’s eggs to this one.
Then I added pastel M&M’s and mini Cadbury eggs to the other jars. Hmm, I wonder how long those will last.
I love the bases painted silver. What a huge difference a little spray paint makes.
Another practically free ( except for the candy) Spring/Easter project. I love these simple jars! I’m pretty sure I’ll be making more for other holidays.
