A few months ago I made a mobile /chandelier for my niece’s baby. We used it as a decoration for the baby shower, then gave it to my niece to hang in McKenna’s nursery. My daughter loved it and wanted me to make one for Sebastien’s nursery. I decided it would be easier to bring the supplies and make it once I got there rather than try to transport it already made. If you’d like to see a tutorial on making one go here.
Here’s the finished product. I changed it a little from the original by using wood embroidery hoops and keeping them natural. I thought it looked more boyish than covering the hoops in ribbon.

Here’s a close-up.

And a closer look at the paper used.

I love those few little dragon flys I punched out.

Julien was watching me while I made it. I held it up at one point to look at the spacing and he said, “grandma, that’s beautiful”. How sweet is that! And here’s one more view, just because.

I’m flying back home tomorrow. I’m going to miss all my grandsons up here and I guess their parents too. Just kidding, I love their parents. It’s been such a great visit and a blessing to be able to spend time with a new grand baby.
