I’ve had my Summer Mantel up for a while but it was missing something. I love banners (or buntings) whichever you like to call it. So I decided to make one using my Cricut and these 2 cartridges. I’ve been in a “use what I have” mode so this project was made without having to buy anything new.
I cut the letters and tags out of cardstock using different shades of blue for the letters and a light brown for the tags. The blue and brown together remind me of the beach. What I wouldn’t give to have my toes in sand at a beach right now. But back to reality.
I simply adhered them together using a glue stick.
I had some Spa Blue paint left over from a previous project so I decided to paint the clothespins using this pretty blue.
This ribbon has been in my stash for 2 years. I love all the cheery Summery colors.
I love using clips whenever I can. They’re perfect for banners and they can be used over and over again.
I love Summertime and it never seems to be nearly long enough. I could seriously live on the beach somewhere. I’m not picky, just a beautiful beach with perfect weather.

Love it, Leanne! The ribbon was a perfect choice… great colors. I love that you used clips so that you can reuse them for another banner, and the spa blue is a fabulous color. Your mantel is gorgeous… off to check out the sand dollar art. Great job! Glad to have you as part of Point of View 🙂
I am so glad that you have joined our group! What a fun project and a perfect interpretation of the theme. The colors look perfect on your mantel. Also, thanks for hosting the linky!
What a great summery Point of View, Leanne. Perfect use of stuff you already had. (I’m a huge fan of that!) And it conjures up a summer at the beach so well. Your whole amazing mantel decor is SO lovely!!! Thanks for letting me play with all you guys today!
I love the clothespins! I have a party coming up that I’ve offered to help decorate, and painted clothespins on a ribbon, holding up (probably photos in my case) would work great!
Thanks for the inspiration… and for letting me join in this round!
I love this Leanne! I would definitely like to live by the beach too!
xoxo,
Amy
I love the points of view every month. Great idea!
LOVE this Leanne! And I love the blue you used for the clothes pins, so perfect! And I’m secretly jealous of your mantel. WANT.ONE!
It looks beautiful! I love that you can take the clips off and reuse the ribbon later.
So sweet and casual, perfection on a ribbon! I agree, the re-usability is wonderful.
I am sooo very bummed. I did not get to your party in time. I guess I need to be quicker next time.
Poophead! I thought it was the LAST friday of the month so I came today to link up and I missed it! Next month I guess!
This banner is super cute and I am not going to look around and found out when your next link party is! I am a new follower and just “liked” you on FB. I would love for you to come by my site and link your banner up at my Savvy HomeMade blog party!
