Snowflake Lampshades

My kids loved the batty lampshades I made for Halloween so much that I just had to come up with another version for the Christmas season. This one was actually much easier too, thanks to my Cricut. The Cricut cut out these snowflakes for me, but it would be really easy to do your own. I’m impatient when it comes to crafting and decorating so this was the best option for me. Once you have the flakes cut out just stick them to the inside of your lampshade with glue dots. Double sided tape would work too, but glue dots are so easy. I’m kind of a lazy crafter. Anyway, here’s the results:

This shade has a liner, so there’s a different, softer look. I like both of them.

What I really like about it is that you can’t see them when the light is off. It’s a nice surprise everytime the light is turned on in the evening.

I surprised the boys and put snowflakes on their lampshade too. I got a thumbs up from Ammon.

    Sooo awesome!

I have a pro vinyl cutter for vehicle graphics that I NEVER craft with. Isn’t that crazy?!? It feels like I’m working if I go cut vinyl. But this is adorable.. just maybe..

How cute! My Mom used to hang the tiny 1/2″ Christmas bulbs from the bottom edge of lampshades and it always looked so pretty for Christmas. And when she took everything done, it looked so bare!
