I love giving and receiving handmade Valentines. Don’t you? It’s so fun to look through the Valentines my kids get at school and from their friends and see how creative they are. I will be sharing a Pencil Valentine with free Heart Printables with you today.

These Pencil Valentines are really easy and I’ve made them even easier by sharing a free printable for you to use. They come together so fast and the kids are going to love them. Plus these are perfect if you’re against giving candy for Valentine’s Day.

Heart Printables

Cut the hearts out using scissors. You can even have the kids do this part. I printed them on card stock so they would be thick and sturdy.

Us a craft knife to make 2 slits in each heart, across from each other.

Make sure the slits are long enough to stick the pencil through without tearing the paper. Slide the pencil through the back side of the heart so you can see the whole message.

I found these cute pencils at Target but it’s easy to find Valentine pencils in almost any large store. I bought boy and girl themed pencils. You can cut the slits vertical or horizontal for some variety.

The back of the heart is blank which gives you plenty of space to write who it’s to and from.
