I love giving and receiving handmade Valentines. Don’t you? It’s so fun to look through the Valentines my kids get at school and from their friends and see how creative they are. I have joined with some of your favorite creative bloggers to share with you 60 amazing DIY Valentine Ideas all in one place. I know you’re going to find some you just have to make this year. Be sure to hop over to each blog post to see what was created and get full tutorials after my Valentine tutorial. I will be sharing a Pencil Valentine with free Heart Printables with you today.
These Pencil Valentines are really easy and I’ve made them even easier by sharing a free printable for you to use. They come together so fast and the kids are going to love them. Plus these are perfect if you’re against giving candy for Valentine’s Day.
If you would like to print the hearts just click on the link below them. Printables are for personal use ONLY and are available to subscribers of Organize & Decorate Everything. I would love for you to SUBSCRIBE NOW to get full access to all printables.
Cut the hearts out using scissors. You can even have the kids do this part. I printed them on card stock so they would be thick and sturdy.
Us a craft knife to make 2 slits in each heart, across from each other.
Make sure the slits are long enough to stick the pencil through without tearing the paper. Slide the pencil through the back side of the heart so you can see the whole message.
I found these cute pencils at Target but it’s easy to find Valentine pencils in almost any large store. I bought boy and girl themed pencils. You can cut the slits vertical or horizontal for some variety.
The back of the heart is blank which gives you plenty of space to write who it’s to and from.
6 down, 24 more to go. Thankfully Ammon will be helping me make the rest for his friends.
If you see a project you like, follow their blog on Facebook, Pinterest or Instagram to keep up with their creations. I even found some new blogs to follow. Be sure to visit each of the bloggers below and check out their handmade holiday gifts and their instructions for making them.
