Sunday- Semi-annually our church has a General Conference, which means we stay home from church and watch our Prophet and Church leaders on TV. We get to watch from the comfort of our living room and wear whatever we want. The kids like to play Conference BINGO. One, because they like to compete against each other and 2, because they get to eat the bingo pieces. Usually I buy Skittles or M&M’s but I forgot. I can’t believe they chose cereal to use instead of candy corn. What were they thinking? I like to think they listen to the speakers a little too.
Monday- It’s finally beginning to feel like Fall. It’s been raining buckets here today so the air has really cooled down a lot. What is it about rain that makes me want to grab a blanket and a book and sit in front of the fireplace? The kids have been walking home from school but we had to pick them up in the car today. It was raining just a little too hard.
Tuesday- I took Ammon to Toys R Us today to spend his birthday money. He bought as many Legos as he could with $50. That kid loves his Legos. On the way home, he was talking about mummy dogs and french fries and how much he loved them. I got the hint, so we stopped at the store to pick up some fries and hot dogs. I got busy helping with homework, laundry and a billion other things so hubby made the mummy dogs. This is his version. Pretty good for a 1st try.
Wednesday- I have banned these from my house. But since hubby went grocery shopping today, he bought them anyway. So then I took them and put them in the camping supplies. He wasn’t really happy with me doing that. He really needs a job, so he can’t buy things I’ve banned. He had 2 interviews today. Keep your finger crossed!
Thursday- Ammon is sick again. My little guy gets sick too often. It’s usually a fever out of no where, followed by chills and sleeping a lot. The next day and after some doses of tylenol he’s usually fine. It breaks my heart when he’s sick. He doesn’t like missing school and not playing with his friends, so he ‘ll ask to play even when he’s sick. I hate having to tell him no.
Friday- Hubby’s cousin’s funeral was today. It was emotionally exhausting. She had been battling cancer for quite a few years and it recently took over her body. She was always so positive and uplifting. Her funeral was a beautiful tribute to her life and her children did a wonderful job on all the talks. It had been raining on and off all day long and it did the same at the graveside. When hubby and I were driving home from the funeral we noticed the mountains. They had gotten their first skiff of snow this season. While it was raining in the valley, it had been snowing in parts of the mountains. It was beautiful but all melted by the next day.
Saturday- I love when hubby surprises me with flowers. I put some in a regular vase, then cut a few shorter to put in this beautiful vase on my bedside table. It’s wonderful to wake up to fresh flowers in the morning.
Poor baby being sick! 🙁 I hate it when our “babies” are sick!
I am so sorry you son seems to get feeling under the weather . I don’t know if you do anything to build up his immune system but you might look into it. Things like Vit C, Goldenseal, Green Tea, Vit D (very important) etc are some possibilities. There are so many bugs and bacteria that they are around with being in school that sometimes their little bodies just need a little help! There are some good websites that are out there to help in this area and if are interested let me know!
I am thinking of joining your Organized Wed party- not that I (organized that is) but because I have some drawers and closets that need my attention big time!!
bee blessed
mary
I hope your son feels better soon!
