Sunday- Ammon’s always been a good eater unlike his brother and sister just older than him. He does like to play with his food though. With this dinner his potatoes became a farm and the peas were the crops. He said the farmer wanted to plant his crops in a circle this time and the hole in the middle is the swimming pool.
Monday- Zach woke up very early this morning to being sick in bed and in the bath room. I was washing sheets at 5am. He came in our room and we made a bed for him on the floor hoping he’d be able to get back to sleep. The kids went back on track today after 2 weeks off, but Zach stayed home mostly watching TV and sleeping. He was able to eat a little for lunch and started feeling even better in the evening. Poor little guy!
Tuesday- Living this close to the mountains and seeing them everyday, sometimes I forget to stop and see how truly beautiful they are. I had just dropped Amanda off at a dance class and was on my way to the store when I had to stop and snap this picture. I love the mountains. It would be hard for me not to be able to see them everyday.
Wednesday- We typically have take-out pizza every Wednesday night. Wednesdays are so busy for us. We have Activity Days, Scouts, Young Women and Baseball will be starting up again in the Spring. I guess the last thing I want to think about on Wednesdays is dinner. Pizza seems to work out well for us.
Thursday- Zach had his 10 year old birthday party at Classic Skating. A Spy Party with all the bells and whistles. Clues to find the stolen loot bags, playing in the bounce area, skating and riding scooters, eating pizza, cupcakes and donuts. What a fun time they all had. Lots of planning = lots of fun.
Friday- Ammon was so excited. He got to take some of his favorite things to Kindergarten for show and tell today. They can only bring show and tell when they’re given the “green” bag. They’re allowed to bring 3 items that are their favorite toys or things that describe them. Ammon decided on his moose (Mouse Moose Michael Jacobs), a rescue hero toy and his latest Lego creation. He was so happy it was his turn for show and tell and the other kids were interested and asked him lots of questions. How cute is my little guy!
Saturday- Hubby and I found a new restaurant. We used to eat at a Mongolian Barbecue years ago in a neighboring city. It closed down about 12 years ago and we haven’t been able to find another one nearby since. We just happened to drive by the grand opening of a new Mongolian restaurant and had to try it out. Oh, it was soooo good. I like being able to pick out my own meats, veggies and sauces to have cooked on the grill. You pile the ingredients on pretty high, because it will cook down to about half the size. Hubby got traditional fried rice and lemon chicken. We went to a really funny movie after dinner, “When In Rome”. I recommend it if you want to laugh.
