Sunday- I attended church at Traci and Stephane’s French speaking Ward. I understood very little until Traci’s friend, Florence, came over to interpret for me. There was one speaker who only spoke English there. He was in the Service and would be in the area for a while, so they had him speak. The 1st Counselor interpreted for everyone except me. Everyone was so nice and I remembered some of them from my last visit. I did get kind of sleepy during class, not being able to understand what they were saying. This is their Temple. I think they’re all so beautiful no matter how small.
Monday-I spent the whole day flying comingfrom Canada. The first airport was Burlington, VT, where they only had 1 security gate open. It took forever to get through, I almost didn’t make the flight then we sat on the Tarmac for about 20 minutes. We made it to Detroit and sat on the Tarmac for 40 minutes before they let us unload. They never told us why and believe me they were asked by almost everyone. Detroit is a beautiful airport, but since I was running it was pretty much a blur. I was the last one to get on the airplane. After all the running and just making the flights, I had 2 hours to kill in Denver. I had time to get dinner, look through some shops and read a little. I finally arrived in Salt Lake at 8:30pm, a little ahead of schedule. It was good to finally be home. This is the Denver Airport.
Tuesday- I’m finally going throught the mail after being gone for a week. Not as bad as I thought. Hubby had already gone through some of it.
Wednesday- I’m starting to get back into the swing of things. Zach has Scouts every Wednesday night. He’s a Weblos now, but I haven’t sewn on his Bear patch and new arrows yet. BAD MOM! I need to put that on my list for this week. He loves Scouts right now and I hope that continues. They learn and grow so much in the Scouting program.
Thursday- We’re having crazy Utah March weather again. It’s been in the mid 50’s and sunny for a few days. Today it hailed for about 45 seconds, then rained, then snowed. This is a hard time of year for figuring out how to dress the kids for school. Ammon told me to just put everything in his backpack.
Friday- Today is Hubby’s birthday. We went to his favorite restaurant, Robintino’s. I made his favorite cupcakes, lemon with homemade lemon frosting. He got phone calls from all his kids not living here or wished Happy Birthday by those at home. And he got his favorite presents (anything golf related). I think he had a pretty good day.
Saturday- To continue on with Hubby’s birthday we had a surprise party. We met at Sparetime to play laser tag with family and friends. Hubby loves lazer tag. After, we came home for cake and ice cream and more family met us there. It was a fun day. Can I brag a little? I had the highest score at the end of the game. Yeap, Legend, that’s me. I rock this game.
