Sunday– Zach, Ammon, and Emilee have been building snow forts in the backyard. Zach would work on it everyday, a few hours a day. One evening we were ready to eat dinner and were looking for him. We had forgotten he had gone outside to work on it some more. It was dark before he came in. He put so much work into the fort that it’s sad to see it melting. He’s a little sad about it too, but he had so much fun building it.
Monday– Grocery shopping! Can I tell you how much I dislike grocery shopping? I don’t like the shopping, taking it out of the cart, bagging it (sometimes), putting it back in the cart, loading it in the car, taking it out of the car, or putting it away. The only thing I do like about grocery shopping is having a full pantry and freezer.
Tuesday– Why can my family be out of the kitchen for hours, but the minute I want to sweep they can’t stay out of the kitchen for 5 minutes?
Wednesday– Dr. Seuss’s Birthday. Ammon’s class celebrated his birthday by bringing their favorite Dr. Seuss book to school to read. They also brought a pillow and blanket and 2 healthy snacks to enjoy while they read. Ammon and his friends had a lot of fun sharing their Dr. Seuss books with each other.
Thursday– Ammon, Zachary, and Emilee had dentist appointments. Hooray for insurance again. And for great check-ups. No cavities for all 3.
Friday– Hubby and I went to a hotel last night for his birthday. We didn’t have enough money to go away for the weekend so we went out to dinner, to a movie, and stayed in a hotel nearby. It was still fun to get away and spend time alone, without the kids. We had a really nice balcony room on the second floor. We had bagels and cream cheese for breakfast then headed home.
Saturday– Happy Birthday Hubby! Hubby turned 51 today! Hubby wanted tacos for his birthday dinner, so that’s what I made. Then we had ice cream cake for dessert. He loves ice cream cake. Whitney, Ty, and Maddux came over for dinner too. He had a great birthday.
The memories are priceless Glad that you guys were able to get a lil time.
What a great week! I love how you lined up the week like this, it made me feel like a part of your family.
Oh and what a fun way to spend your hubs bday weekend. 🙂
