Sunday– The kids decided to watch the Indiana Jones series after church today. I really like the Indiana Jones movies too, but not the 2nd one. Apparently the kids don’t like that one either, because they didn’t watch it. Zach was really into watching them and totally oblivious to everything else around him.
Monday– We watched Maddux today so Whitney and Ty could go to Lagoon by themselves. He is such a good baby. He ate lunch then went down for a nap. He didn’t wake up until the boys came home from school then he wanted to play with them. He loves following the big boys around. Amanda took him for a walk then jumped on the trampoline with him. We took him out on the front porch for a while and he kept yelling red. We play a game where we try to guess the color of the next car that passes by. He always yells red. The only time he was a little sad was when we had to put him to bed for the night. I think he wanted his momma to put him to bed.
Tuesday– I went to Hobby Lobby today and found a wall of Christmas ornaments. I am soooo not ready for that. Call me lazy, or slow, or whatever, but I like to live in the present. I know we need to plan ahead a little but this is way to far in advance for me. Give me until at least the middle of September so I can know Summer is officially over. And no I don’t plan on putting up my Fall decor yet either. I’m still enjoying my Summer decor and the warmth outside.
Wednesday– Today was a busy day. Amanda left for Youth Conference this morning. I changed 2 of Emilee’s classes before school starts on Monday. I ran some errands and took Emilee to a quick orthodontist appointment to see if she was still on track for getting her braces off in 2 weeks. Then she had Young Womens, Zach had Scouts and soccer practice right after. My friend and I went to see The Help after her kids went to bed. I really liked the movie, but I loved the book.
Thursday– It was Back to School night at the Jr. High. Hubby went because I wasn’t feeling well. He went to all of Emilee’s classes and got her supply lists and talked to her teachers. Now I just need to go shopping before Monday.
Friday– I’m still not feeling well, but we decided we needed to take a trip to the local shaved ice shack and enjoy some yummy shaved ice before the season ended. I got my favorite Pina Colada with a Snow Cap. Amanda and Emilee got the same thing. Hubby and Ammon got Tiger’s Blood and Zachary got Rootbeer and Cheesecake (weird combo).
Saturday– Soccer has started! It seems to early for me. Why can’t we wait until September? Oh well, at least the weather is better now than in the Spring. Emilee had her piano recital today too. She played 2 songs. My favorite was Lean on Me. Hubby and I went on a date later that night and also went grocery shopping. That counts as a date if you’re without kids, right?
I hope you had a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
What a full weekend! I saw “The Help” as well” left me in a place. Maybe I will read the book I’m curious to see what was left out.
