I picked this table up at D.I. about a year ago for $6. I finally got around to painting it last week. All I had done up until then was change the knob on the little drawer. It actually didn’t look too bad, but the brown was so drab and I wanted a punch of color in the living room. I was deciding between these 3 colors because I already had them in my spray paint stash. I went with the Oxford Blue on the left.
I took it outside one evening after it wasn’t 97 degrees anymore and sanded away.
Then I painted it with 2 coats of Krylon Oxford Blue spray paint. I love Krylon Spray Paint. It goes on smooth and evenly and I love it. I have at least 30+ cans in my stash. But at this time I have to be honest and admit I was disappointed with the Clear coat spray. I wanted some extra protection for the top of the table, but now I will be using a brush on protectant instead of the spray.
I love how the green knob looks against the blue drawer.
It looks perfect back in it’s home. And there’s not a sea of brown legs between the chairs and table anymore. I love how it matches the pillows too.
I love the green vase and white bowl on the table. They really stand out now.
One more picture just for fun. It looks so pretty against my new gray wall. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Not bad for $6.
Too cute the colors are so fun!
It looks fabulous! One thing I dislike the most about moving to Denmark is the lack of spray paint colors. We can choose from black, white, clear, red, green, yellow, and blue. So boring! I did find a metallic red once, but had no use for it at the time. Now it’s gone.
So pretty…you should enter your table in the Krylon Duel that is going on……..not sure the website but check it out. I entered a project on there and I bet yours would definitely win!
That table is now the perfect color for that spot! That drawer knob is an awesome pop.
What a fun color! Looks great.
Oh – I really love that color! Your table looks wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing this at Power of Pint
Lovin’ the blue 🙂 It is such a cute table.
Cute… I like the color and the new knobs!

What kind of clear coat do you normally use after spray paint? I am thinking about doing my first DIY job on a few end tables.
