The Christmas tree in our living room is tall and skinny because it’s a small room. I have to rearrange the whole room and take out a few tables for Christmas, but I always love how it turns out. Our decorations always lean towards the traditional red and green. I just can’t seem to get away from it, but I do like to add some sparkle here and there.
We buy new ornaments for the kids every year and then as they get married they take the ornaments with them, so our tree is ever changing. The kids put up their own ornaments but I do move things around a bit after they go to bed (just for balance). My tree doesn’t have to be perfect, but I don’t prefer 6 ornaments on one branch like Ammon does.
This is mine and Hubby’s first ornament together:
Other ornaments on are tree are from trips we’ve taken:

I like our eclectic Christmas tree. Everything on it has a story and it tells a history of our family.
I have an issue with tree skirts. I haven’t found or made one that I really like yet. A few years ago I bought some fleece, placed it around the bottom of the tree and realized that’s what I like. It looks like snow to me and it’s simple.
I’ll show the rest of our trees later. I haven’t taken all the pictures yet.
Your home is beautiful. I love the tradition of giving your children ornaments every year. That is so special and they will truly enjoy it when they are older.
Merry Christmas

I stopped over to see your tree. It looks really tall! You got good photos of your ornaments, too. I like the Golden Gate bridge and baby Jesus.
I love your tree. We decorate ours the same way. We had to move to a much smaller place and this will be our 2nd Christmas with a smaller tree. We found that due to the size reduction, only our cherished ornaments would fit. I’m all about matching but I truly loved it once it was done. Still need to pick out an ornament for this year. Better get to gettin’.
Thanks for sharing your tree and great photos of the ornaments. Love em’!
Such loveliness has me swooning with happy sighs.
