Not Really a Room, Craft Room

I almost forgot, today is Why Not Organize Something Wednesday. I have a craft room downstairs that’s not really a room. It’s not completed anyway and it’s about room number 3 on the list now, so I don’t see it getting done anytime soon. I have tons of supplies I use for crafts and other projects so I made a space for them. Who knows how many years it will be before I get my actual room completed so I’m making due with what I have now.

I love these storage cubes. They don’t sell them at Robert’s anymore and I don’t know where else to find them. If you do, please let me know. I’ve been on the lookout for more.

I store a lot of my craft supplies in them. Here’s some;

Cricut accessories:

Craft paints:

And more stamps:

If you want to see different ways to store ribbon, go here. I also have shelving and other odd and end furniture holding other supplies. Here’s a few;

A big basket for wrapping paper:

Divided cubes for scrapbook paper:

SS853477

Binders and magazine holders for creative ideas:

SS859725

Glass jars for colorful rocks and marbles:

SS859780

Drawers to hold more fabric:

SS859762

And a table top organizer to keep things I need often at my fingertips:

I have to have my craft area organized or I can’t create. If I see chaos around me that’s all I think about until it’s cleaned up and put away. Besides things get done a lot quicker if the supplies are all where they belong and easy to access. Do you need to have your supplies organized to create?

Find a method that works for you and the space you have. Happy creating!

    Wow, love the pictures. You obviously put in a lot of work into organizing everything, but it looks great, and I’m sure it makes it a lot easier to find and use everything you have. Now, I need to do that for myself!

    I love what you’ve done here! Your organizing is beautiful! I can’t wait to get started on my craft room. I am glad you posted what to do with the wrapping paper. I never have found an organized way that works for me to keep wrapping paper. Thanks for being willing to share!

    How funny, I totally used a basket for my Christmas wrapping paper this year. It looks really cute.

    Obviously you’re WAY more of a crafter than I am judging by all of the great supplies you have! 🙂 Love all of your creative, cute organization. Thanks so much for joining the linky party. Happy New Year!

    Wow! I’ve just found your web site and love it.

    I can’t say that I love to organize, but I certainly like the finished product. My problem is that I’m always running out of space. I’ve got a craft closet that I share with my two daughters, so it’s rarely in order. The next time it is, I’ll hve to photograph it.

    I was very inspired by your ribbon storage. Photo boxes are a great idea. They’re neat, attractive and inespensive. Exactly what kind of hole punch allowed you to make the holes in the cardboard? That’s the part I’m not following.I’d love to know.

    Well done, we could all do with a bit of inspiration on organising this part of our house that seems to collect the most stuff.
