Lazy Girl’s Halloween Subway Art

Do you remember about a month ago when I shared with you my Family Word Art made at wordle.net? Well, being the impatient (sometimes lazy) crafter that I am, I decided to make a sudo Halloween Subway Art using Wordle. This took me less than 5 minutes and cost me very little ink.

I used the same frame my Family Word Art was in. I considered painting it black, but decided against it for now. I like the details of the frame and how the color makes it look old.

So that’s it. A quick and easy Halloween decorating project that took less than 5 minutes.

If you haven’t tried Wordle yet. Go on over and give it a try. You’ll love it!

And no, I don’t own Wordle or have any stock in it. I just love it!

Very cute! Kind of fun to be able to change it out for all the seasons! I do wish Wordle would make it easier to save your work. 🙂

How fun is that!?! I love subway art! Sometimes it’s hard to get all the words to fit all nice and pretty though! And I like the frame like it is. Visiting from Whatever Goes Wednesday.

My son used wordle for a school project last year and I thought it was really fun. I surprised him with a personalized one for his 13th birthday. Using his name and a bunch of words that describe him, then I matted and framed it so he could hang it in his room. I was shocked at how much he liked it, I think even more than I did! I plan to do this for all the kids for their birthdays now.

I love your idea to make “subway art” with Wordle!! However, I can never get Wordle to work for me. I hit create, type in my words, hit go & nothing happens (I have waited a loooong time a few times, just to see if my computer is slow or something.) Any tips?

I too love Wordle…I used it for some Halloween art as well (http://alliswellathome.blogspot.com/2010/09/setting-scene-for-halloween.html).
I love the frame you chose, very appropriate for the season!
    Cheers!
