It’s A Wrap

Yep, the presents are finally wrapped. I think I have about 3 more, but that’s it. Since all the married kids and families are spending Christmas with us I thought it would be a lot easier Christmas morning if I used different paper for each family.

The ones still living in our home have polka dot or plain white paper. The cute gift tags I used on some of the gifts are free printables from Jones Design Company.  I love, love, love free printables!

Last minute gift wrapping calls for fast and simple yet pretty. I like using ornaments or other unusual things as gift tags. I just wrote their name on the ornament with a silver sharpie and added a few drawn on stars.

This one has snowflake ornaments hot glued to the package.

I just wrapped a paper scrap making a band around this gift box.

More paper scraps were used here.

I used paper scraps and ribbon on this one.

Want to know another secret? Some of the gift boxes are just taped shut with a band of scrap paper around it (like the last 3 above) and a tag on it. I didn’t even wrap the whole box. At this point my goal is to get the job done and not take hours and hours to do it. And the Santa gifts don’t get wrapped at all.

All the gift wrap and supplies were purchased last year after Christmas. I can’t imagine paying full price for gift wrap. I usually get my wrap and supplies at least 50% off , but usually 75% off. So be on the look out for clearance wrap after this season.

Happpy Wrapping!

My mom always used a different wrapping paper for each of her six kids on Christmas. She could put all the presents under the tree because she didn’t use any tags so we didn’t know which ones were ours. We each had a mini stocking in our rooms that would get a candy cane, quarter, and one little clue to start a scavenger hunt on Christmas morning leading us to our first present that would show us which wrapping paper was ours. It was very fun. One year my present was just inside the big metal garbage can.
She still uses a different wrap now for each person, even with 14 grandkids. She has quite the supply of wrapping paper.
I like all of your creative wrapping. =)

Those are gorgeous packages! What cute and easy ideas. I love it. Wrapping is one of my least favorite jobs. I have starred this post in my reader so I can refer back to it. Thank you!
