Entry Faux Mantel

Okay, it’s really a shelf, but I like to pretend it’s my second mantel. My real mantel isn’t totally finished for Winter yet so I’m counting this.

I decided to take all the white down from Christmas and go with the silver look for Winter.

And since I didn’t use any pinecones for Christmas, I thought it would be fun to bring them out for Winter. Did you know cinnamon pinecones still smell after 4 years?

I love the look of the rough pinecones and the shiny silver together.

I added some flocked picks to one of the vases/candleholders.

It’s just the right touch of Winter to my entry, except now I think I need to make a pillow for that chair. Looks like I have another project on the way.

I love the use of pine cones – they are FREE and so beautiful. You can paint them, or leave them au naturale..which I do. Love your entry shelf!

I’m using silver for winter too! <3 And I had no idea that the pinecone scent lasted so long…very cool. Your pinecones on top of your holders are my favorite part! And you have such a beautiful collections of vases and pots.

I love the faux mantel. We don’t have one and I’m looking for ideas to get me the same effect. I will definitely consider this as an option!

I love the pinecones as well. I always mix in the natural elements with my decorating scheme. Mostly because it’s cheap! But, I love the look of nature with modern. It seems like a great combo to me. Your faux mantle is beautiful. Well done!
