Easy Turkeys To Make With Your Kids

Do you want to make some easy turkeys with your kids? These are fun and easy and you can even eat them after. Or if your kids are like mine, they will eat half the food before they even make the turkeys. Amanda’s turkey apparently has his feathers on top of his head. Zach decided to give his turkey legs. How many legs does a turkey have? As many as it takes to get him to stand up, I guess.

I think it’s a rule they have to make a peace sign in every picture, unless I tell them to put their hands down.

Turkey wanted to watch TV before he got eaten.

I’m not sure if any of them really look like turkeys, but they were fun to make and eat.

Pinecones and pipe cleaners (chenille stems, when did they start calling them that?) make great turkeys and don’t forget the googly eyes. Do you remember making these in elementary school?

How about using a leaf, nuts, beads, felt and pipe cleaners to make a cute little turkey or two. You could make one for every person coming to Thanksgiving dinner and use them as place cards. Just write the name on the leaf (turkey feathers). How cute would that be?

What about this one made from a small clay pot, round wood ball, pipe cleaners, foam, leaves, ribbon and a little paint. This little guy is so cute I think we’re going to make more this year.

How about a turkey song:

He’s big and fat and gobble, gobble, gobble.

He spreads his wings and gobble, gobble, gobble.

But when Thanksgiving Day is here,

Then it’s our turn to gobble, gobble, gobble.

Have a Beautiful Weekend!

Very cute! They remind me of the snowmen I made as a kid out of big and small marshmallows. 🙂 Love the kid’s take on it and how sweet is the little fella holding his turkey in front of the tube!

Thanks for linking up to SNS #5!

Cute turkeys, but the top apple one looks more like shirley temple, ha!
