Beauty Products Storage and Expiration Dates Printable

Let’s talk about Beauty Products Storage and Expiration Dates. When was the last time you cleaned out your expired or never used make-up? Do you keep buying more and more products and adding them to your ever growing stash?

A few years ago I had way too many beauty products. Some I had never used and some that had been expired for years. Once I cleaned out my stash I vowed to keep it that way. I have a few things I do to keep my beauty products in check so I’m not wasting money and space. These are my favorite tips.

Beauty Products Buying Tips

1. Buy your tried and true products. These are products you like and know they work. There’s really no need to try something new and take the risk you might not like it if you’re content with what you’re using now.

2. If you want to try a new product you can sample it at the make-up counter. Wear it for a day and go back to purchase it later if you love it.

3. You can also purchase a sample size of a product to test it out before committing to spending more money on the product. I belong to a monthly subscription bag that gives me 5 samples of different products every month. It’s a great way to find something you love and want to purchase again.

4. Write the expiration date on the product with a sharpie marker when you purchase it. You will know exactly when you need to replace it with a new one and toss the old one.

5. Go through your beauty products twice a year and toss out any expired products or one’s you haven’t used within those 6 months.

Beauty Products Storage:

After cleaning out my beauty products and getting rid of the excess I had plenty of space to store everything neatly. It’s easy to keep products organized and contained by using inexpensive baskets. These little white baskets come in 3-4 different shapes and sizes and are super cheap. Use the sizes that best fit your beauty products and drawer space.

You can also use glass jars for things you want to display, especially if you’re short on drawer and cabinet space. Nail polish, make-up brushes, cotton balls and cotton swabs are good examples.

Don’t forget to go through your beauty products that are kept in other places, such as your gym bag or travel case. Don’t think of this as one more space you need to organize. Think of all the space you’ll be getting back and how you’ll be getting rid of things you aren’t using anyway.
