I found these cute papers at Michael’s for only .25 cents a piece so I couldn’t pass them up. I started by cuting them 4″x6″.
Then found the center of the short side and cut them into triangles or flags.
So I ended up with these.
This pretty glitter ribbon was at Michael’s too, for only $1.99. I sewed my flags onto the ribbon using a zig zag stitch. Apparently I find it much easier to commit to sewing on paper than fabric. I hope to graduate soon to fabric.
I didn’t measure the spacing between the flags. I used the foot to help with the spacing.
Then I used my Cricut to cut out some hearts.
And Be Mine.
In black vinyl. Then I just stuck them to the flags.
Here it is on the mantel again. I’m loving the pink and black together. If you want to see more of the mantel, just scroll down one post.
Happy Birthday MOM!
Happy Birthday, hope it was a great day! No tears unless they are happy ones!!! Don’t think of it as another year older, instead remember is it 365 more days of memories you have had with and given to your family. May you have many, many, more days!!
side note question: which cartridge did you use for the letters?
I’m sorry Kim, I guess I should have said what cartridge I used. It’s Winter Woodland. It has the cutest Winter shapes, but it also has one font included with it. It happens to be one of my favorite fonts too.
Happy Birthday to you! This banner is darling!
xoxo,
Amy
I really like the pink and black together too. Thanks for sharing!
That’s really cute!! I really like that pink and black together!
Great idea. You could make these for so many holidays, birthdays, etc. I need to remember to get out my cricut more.
