Since the baby shower for my niece is tomorrow I thought I better get busy and work on some more decorations. At first I thought I would use fabric to make the banner, but I feel much more comfortable with paper. Also, because of time constraints I thought it was the wiser choice.
I chose these cute papers in the colors of the baby’s room. I love polka dots.
I used 12×12 sheets so I could cut the papers in half for the 6×9″ triangles. I marked the bottom at 3″ then cut on an angle to the top to make the triangle. I cut 2 pieces of each so I could back them up and make it sturdier.
I used double sided tape to attach them to each other. Then I used white seam binding and white clothes pins to put the banner together.
I then used the Cricut to cut the letters for her name.
And attached them to the banner. See the monograms still sitting on the table? Obviously they’re not going to make it on the wall before the shower like I had planned. Oh, well.
I love the banner though. I hope the new mama does too.
Only a few more things before the shower now. I’m attempting tissue paper flowers next. Wish me luck!
Good luck with your flowers…although I don’t really think you’ll need luck. Everything you make turns out super cute!! I love the banner!!
I just picked up a bunch of tissue paper to make tissue flowers for the first time, trying them this weekend.
Oh! This is adorable! You know what? I wanted to make one of these for Skyler’s Spy Party but I chickened out, lol. I just love them but wasn’t sure I could do it quite right…I needed you here! 😉 And I agree…it would be so GOOD if we lived closer.
darling!!!
