Welcome to Day 30 of 31 Days of 15 Minute Organizing
Mornings can be hectic and since they set the tone for the whole day we need them to go as smoothly as possible. That’s why I start my Morning Prep the night before. Here are some ideas I use for a more relaxed morning.
Lay clothes out the night before: It doesn’t really matter if you hang the clothes up for a week or a day, just have them planned out the day or night before so you’re not figuring out outfits in the morning. Let your kids pick their clothes the night before so there is no debate in the morning. Here is a post and another post with more ideas about planning clothes you can check out.
Prepare lunches the night or week before: Prepare lunches for the week or the night before so you’re not worrying about it in the morning. There are a few more ideas here and here.
Bath or shower in the evening: Sometimes this is hard for my family because it seems like we are busy, busy, busy until bedtime and it’s easier to wait until morning. But when we wait I always feel stressed, so having the kids bathe the night before is what works for our stress free morning.
Have backpacks, diaper bags, and work bags packed the night before: Make sure bags are packed and ready to go with homework for the kids and anything you’ll need for your day. Check to see what your day will be like and plan ahead. Check diaper bags and make sure everything has been replenished the night before.
Have breakfast planned and set out: You can check out my ideas for breakfast here. Plan ahead so you have everything you need.
Get a good night’s sleep: This is the hardest one for me but when my family has had a good night’s sleep we are much happier in the morning.
