I think you all know by now that I rarely miss a Parade of Homes. I have an obsession peeking into other homes and the best part is, hubby loves it too. I love getting great ideas on projects to make in my own home. You too? We’ll you’re going to love the DIY Blogger House at Daybreak.

Brian Clark (sorry I don’t have a picture of Brian) of Brian Clark Designs and some awesome DIY bloggers planned, created and decorated a home that reflects the DIY in all of us. They came up with some amazing ideas for us to try in our own homes. You can visit the DIY Bloggers to get tutorials on some of the projects they finished in the house.

Amy at The Idea Room (mudroom and laundry room)
Cynthia at Jordan Valley Home and Garden (outdoor spaces)
Shelley at House of Smiths (kitchen, dining room, pantry)
Char at Crap I’ve Made (kids bedrooms)
Jen at Tatertots and Jello (office, living room)
Lara at Less Cake More Frosting (kids rooms)

There was a VIP event Wednesday night at the house where we were able to tour the home and get a sneak peek at all the fabulous ideas. The bloggers gave us the low down on their projects and why they made the decisions they did. Did you know Daybreak makes its own honey? Well, the bees make it! So cool!

We started the tour at the front door. Duh! I love this succulent wreath by Cynthia. There are so many more fabulous ideas in the yard but since it was dark when I finished the inside tour I didn’t get any pictures of the outside. Cynthia has some great pictures on her blog though.

I’ll just share with you some of my favorite things. I love the ceiling and the rug in the living room. I really love the whole room. I just want it in my home.

I love the desk, rug and chandelier. All painted and transformed by Jen.

This is maybe my favorite thing in the house. I decided on a place for one in my house, now to get hubby to make it.

I seriously love this sink in the mudroom and the tiled area is gorgeous.

The round coffee table is to die for and the mirrors on the wall open up the whole space.

I wasn’t able to get a good picture of the kitchen because it was too crowded but I love the island and the drawers on the side. Shelley showing us her awesome pantry.

I love everything about the dining room especially the walls and the built in hutch.

Amy did such an awesome job on the laundry room. I especially love the chandelier she painted. It almost makes you want to do laundry.

All the kids rooms are so cool. Char and Lara really did a fabulous job. What tween boy wouldn’t want this room?

Sweet nursery! I love the sign and the rocker.

The Make a Wish room is full of so many fun ideas. Too many to name, but it turned out beautifully.

The master bedroom feels like a retreat. I love the colors and check out that awesome wall.

I think I could definitely move in here. Make sure to visit the DIY Blogger House. You are going to get so many awesome ideas.

The Salt Lake Parade of Homes runs August 3-18, 12pm-9pm daily. Some homes are closed on Sunday. Are you going? I wouldn’t miss it for anything (almost). Maybe I’ll see you at one of the houses. I’ll be the one taking tons of pictures.

Have a Beautiful Weekend!

I learned so much about creating INSIDE spaces from all involved. There’s a level of detail required indoors that I don’t usually have to deal with. I had a great time at the event and working on the project. The ladies who designed the indoor spaces in concert with Brian Clark ALL have different personal styles. I LOVED that each got to show her style in the rooms she worked on yet the whole house still flowed seamlessly! Loved it!

The gray gets old fast. I got sick of color and painted my first floor gray, thinking that I would never toe of it. I was wrong. You get sick of the neutrals and gray soon and then you long for coordinating colors. Don’t gray wash or white wash your home. Boring.

I painted my home gray a few years ago and love it. I don’t think I would ever get tired of it. I love that I can bring in bright and bold colors through accessories.
