Black and White Halloween Mantel

I love decorating for Halloween, maybe it’s because I love black and white so much. Those are my go-to colors for Halloween. Check out the Spooky Photos here.

The candle holder was thrifted and painted black with spray paint. The crows are from Dollar Tree. I don’t remember where the skull is from but I glittered the heck out of it.

The glittery Halloween house is from Home Goods.

All of these items are from previous years. The gate, owl and candle holder are staples I keep in my stash because they can be used all throughout the year. The pumpkin with the crow on top and skeleton are from Ross.

The glittery candelabra was purchased from Michaels a few years ago.

I don’t remember where I bought the skeleton heads but they are from a few years ago also.

Pumpkins are from a local grocery store. These color of pumpkins are hard to find around here. The Trick or Treat sign was bought from Tai Pan Trading last year.

I have one more thing I still want to add to the mantel. I will show that later this week. I have to say I was hesitant to show my Halloween mantel and decorations because of the reaction I have had in previous years. I like skeletons, skulls, crows, etc. but it is all in fun. I like a little spooky this time of year. Please be kind in the comments.

I think it looks great–and I love that gate!

People are MEAN in comments?!? What gives them that right?!

I LOVE your decorations, and how often you change things up. I personally dont like the skulls and the spooky side of halloween. I like bats and spiders in cartoony form.

Its wonderful that we all have a different style, otherwise life would be boring!

Happy Fall!
Andrea

Lots of talented people. I like reading some blogs. But I dont blog much because I have RA and my hands are back. But know when Im looking at all of everybodys stuff it makes me happy. God Bless Joni Kassay

Why would people be mean? That is one of the cutest mantels!

That gate is great! Wherever did you find that? It all came together beautifully. And I agree that your frames are much nicer than the originals!

Looking forward to seeing the new piece that you are making.

Love your mantle – who could find fault with this for a Halloween theme? It’s not gruesome or anything – geesh people can be such a PITA!

I love your black and white mantel. I can’t believe people would say anything rude about having a spooky Halloween display! This is mild compared to some of my decorations but Halloween is my favorite holiday! My husband adds lots of gory stuff for the kids (although our mantel is black and white, just like yours). Kudos! Great job! Glad I found you!

Leanne-what a spooky mantel! I love the details from the shutters to the candelabra with crows on it (EEK!). I saw on Facebook this spooky Halloween contest and your mantel would definitely be scary enough to enter. LOL. Good job & Happy Halloween! http://www.facebook.com/homesdotcom
